A Russian stock poster for the revolutionary film "Battleship Potemkin," directed by Sergei Eisenstein in 1925. The blank space at the bottom was left for other countries to print the title and credits in their respective languages when the movie was re-released in 1940. The film, deemed the greatest of all time at the Brussels World's Fair in 1958, presents a dramatized version of the 1905 mutiny that ensued when the crew of the Russian battleship Potemkin rebelled against its officers.
